JetBox-Jackson provides a compact and economical solution for commercial / industrial grade applications based on the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX and Orin Nano GPU modules. JetBox-Jackson ships with Diamond’s customized Linux OS based on the latest Nvidia JetPack. It supports Nvidia’s Super Mode with enhanced performance capabilities, offering upscaled performance for the given module to handle increased workloads.

JetBox-Jackson is based on Diamond’s Jackson carrier board and offers a multitude of I/O including:

• 2 1Gbps Ethernet port using RJ-45 jacks
• 2 USB 3.2 ports with USB 2.0 fallback on Type A connectors
• 2 serial ports (1 RS-232 and 1 RS-232/422/485) using RJ-12 and DB9 male connectors *
• 1 CAN port using DB9 male connector (Orin NX only)
• 16 GPIO ports using DB25 female connector
• 1 HDMI display on a type A (standard size) connector
• Support for WiFi / BlueTooth / Modem (requires installation of radio module at factory)
• Power input via pluggable screw terminal block
• DIN rail and shelf mounting

* RS-422 not available on Nano module

I/O Details

General-Purpose Digital I/O

Connector I/O 1 is a DB25 Female connector with 16 GPIO lines featuring jumper-configurable 3.3V / 5V logic levels and 10Kohm pull-up / pull-down resistors.

Serial Ports

Two serial ports are provided. Port 1 supports RS-232 and is available on a DB9M connector using industry-standard pinout. Port 2 is jumper-configurable for either RS-232 and RS-485.

Controller Area Network (CAN)

JetBox Jackson provides one CAN port on a DB9 male connector when fitted with the Jetson Orin NX module. In this case, the RJ-12 connector must be used to access the second serial port with RS-232/485 operation. The CAN feature is not available on the Orin Nano module.

Mass Storage

JetBox-Jackson includes a built-in 1TB NVMe flashdisk containing a Linux OS based on Nvidia’s latest JetPack release. The flashdisk size can be increased to 2TB by special order.
